Manager, Be Local | Momentum
For over a decade, Philip has been creating spaces for entrepreneurs to come together and dream. His work comes down to making impact easier for local businesses in Calgary. He believes in the power of relationships and that the most profound learning happens amongst peers. He is a seasoned convener of leaders and changemakers in social venture. Currently, he’s spearheading Momentum’s work on the Be Local network, The Impact Playground and (is so wildly humbled to be the lead producer of) Social Venture Institute: Alberta.
We come together at a time of nearly unprecedented political and economic upheaval. Leaders in the business, social, and public sectors are struggling to remain proactive and agile in the face of the latest political whims on the world stage, rapidly shifting markets, and worried staff and customers. In this 'fireside chat,' social purpose expert Mike Rowlands will be joined by Philip Lozano of Calgary's own Be Local and one of the network's members to share insights into the role of local, social purpose business in bolstering community resilience. They'll draw insights and lessons that are informative across sectors and for organizations at all points of scale. By uniting around a shared purpose and focusing on human and planetary wellbeing, companies are finding ways to thrive amid complexity.
